Neuropathy aka Pinched Nerve

Your peripheral nervous system sends information from your brain and spinal cord (central nervous system) to the rest of your body. The peripheral nerves also send sensory information to the central nervous system.

Neuropathy, aka nerve damage or a pinched nerve, is a result of damage to the nerves outside of the brain and spinal cord (peripheral nerves). This often causes

  • Cramping

  • Stabbing

  • Weakness

  • Tingling

  • Numbness/ Burning

  • Pain

Symptoms are usually in your arms, legs, hands and feet. It can also affect other areas of your body.

Causes of nerve damage can be traumatic injuries, auto accidents, poor posture, repetitive stress, infections, metabolic problems, inherited causes and exposure to toxins.

In many cases, symptoms improve, especially if caused by a treatable condition.

Chiropractic, Active Release Technique, and Cox Technique can help heal nerve damage by...

  • Reducing pain

  • Reducing tension in the nervous system

  • Decreasing scar tissue around the nerves

  • Allowing proper nerve movement

  • Widening the space around your nerves by 28% (Cox Technique)

  • Reducing pressure on the nerves

  • Returning motion to the joints
