Understanding Pinched Nerves: Ulnar, Radial, & Median

Ever wondered why you’re feeling tingling, numbness, or pain in your arms or hands? It could be due to a pinched nerve! But which one? Let's break down the differences between a pinched ulnar, radial, and median nerve:

1. Ulnar Nerve: 🦴

  • Location: Runs along the inner side of your arm, down to the pinky finger.

  • Symptoms: Numbness, tingling, or weakness in the ring and pinky fingers, often called “funny bone” pain when you hit your elbow.

2. Radial Nerve: 💪

  • Location: Extends from the upper arm to the back of the hand.

  • Symptoms: Pain or weakness in the back of the hand, wrist, or forearm. It can also cause difficulty in straightening the wrist or fingers.

3. Median Nerve: ✋

  • Location: Passes through the carpal tunnel in the wrist to the thumb, index, and middle fingers.

  • Symptoms: Numbness, tingling, or weakness in the thumb, index, and middle fingers. Often associated with Carpal Tunnel Syndrome.

Chiropractic care can help relieve these symptoms by addressing the root cause of nerve compression! Don’t let a pinched nerve hold you back!
